Primary Tavern Restaurant & Bakery

Oh. My. Gosh! Primary Tavern was excellent. I had breads and spreads for an appetizer, the meatloaf wedge for dinner, and cream coconut cake to go. It was all divine and the service was excellent. They have a bar area with lots of wine and seating to accommodate large parties. I was there very late in the day. Highly recommend.

This place is next level when compared to comparably priced chain eateries. They are intensely passionate about the quality of their food and it shows. Everything is locally sourced and freshly prepared daily (or even fresher.) The BLT on their own bread? Just one bit and you'll understand. You can almost hear the pig's oink it's that fresh. The bacon flavor comes through strongly, not like common sandwiches where it's hidden among the bread, L & T. The Reuben is different, but it's fantastic--unless you like holding your sandwich. And the pasta salad that comes instead of typical fries is terrific. I should mention their bruschetta on fresh bread is wonderful. Don't let its exterior full you. This is must-visit eatery.

Primary Tavern is delicious! I got the meatloaf sandwich and my husband got the Havana pot roast both dishes were cooked well and tasted great they both came with tri-colored pasta salad which was amazing. The rolls are delicious and I think my new favorite restaurant roll! We also got a peanut butter and chocolate cake and of course, it was great as well it tasted like peanut butter fudge. It was a wonderful meal and I will be coming back very soon.

I had the Reuben dinner (which was basically a Reuben lasagna) and it was fantastic. The appetizers were a bit on the small side but also equally flavorful. Will be coming back for sure.

So glad we stopped on our way to Orlando. The food was all fresh in house made. Staff was lovely and helpful, dessert was a perfect ending. We got meatloaf. Caprese salad,and quiche.

If you're looking for something a bit different, you gotta try this place. Our party had the breads/dips appetizer, quiche and the ruben-ish dish (don't remember the name). Quiche turned out to have mushrooms (which I don't eat) so upon discovery the chef suggested chicken salad on tavern bread. Everything was good but the bread was amazing! They were baking while we were there so it smelled incredible. For dessert we shared cherry chocolate cream cake and took home a couple scones (which they call luxury biscuits ). It wasn't overly sweet and the chocolate mousse was to die for. Service was friendly. This is not a fast meal because they prepare everything to order. The only thing I could recommend is less yelling. The kitchen is part of the restaurant without doors so it was a bit loud for me. Otherwise a great place for some elevated favorites.

What an unbelievable surprise walking in to this hidden Gem of a restaurant. Starting with the Owner on premises working in there open Bakery. The menu is hand written and an open book. The menu is handwritten and the pages tied together with strings. What’s on the menu is a varied mix of creatine salads and dinners. My dinner , turkey, was excellent. I ordered a desert from their on premise open bakery and it was scrumptious. They have a liquor license. The service was excellent and the prices very fair and reasonable. Thank you Kelley for creating this amazing experience. Yes I will be back many times.

What a great experience! Please don’t judge this building by what it used to be. The Chef has put her heart and soul into this completely renovated building and menu. We had the ‘Ruben Gets Baked’ which is a DELICIOUS opposite flip of the classic sandwich, and the ‘Meatloaf Wedge’, also very good. Portions were perfect. Delicious little zucchini salad was served before dinner and was so much better than the normal boring house salad served everywhere else. She is so very thoughtful with her dishes and the atmosphere. Service was perfect as well. We will definitely stop in every chance we get.
